This one's probably out of my price range though. :thumb

Or maybe this one? 121 miles from new.

Lots of other very nice bikes coming up in next months Stafford sale too.

Check out the Joey Dunlop bikes.

They were lovely things to ride, a revelation for me back in the day, but eclipsed by many other bikes in the modern era.

Sadly, pedigree & exclusivity has marked them out as highly collectable & hence their value means most really good examples are becoming garage queens if not museum pieces.

I won't suggest they are better than money in the bank, as investment decisions aren't that simple currently but, if you can afford one, why not give it a whirl.

If you want one...it's a heart over head buy as they'll likely not remain so sought after in 15yrs or more when most of us bikers are dead or past it...so enjoy the moment(s) !

Stafford results have been much lower than normal over the last 2/3 auctions. So you may grab a bargain.

See Manor park results here

A lowly NC30 went for low two’s and look at the price of that CB 750. It would have been £10-12 three years ago

Although the RC30s are the sort after ones I prefer the Rc45s they look better and did not have the success of the 30s .
Wonder how much they go for .

Totally agree with that, friend of mine has both and I’ve ridden them allot, the 45 is still my favourite, I’ve have an sp1 and would say it’s as good as the rc45 . Here’s a wee pic of them all.

This has my name on it - unless we move house, where I'll need all the wonga I can muster.

The owner knows this, and is waiting for my decision.

It's not cheap, at £35K+, but it's a goodie - owned by him for c20 years, and he's an enthusiast, who I know personally.

Rode with a guy who had an RC30 for many years. He was a very capable rider and made fast riding effortless. He sold it and got a Triumph Tiger !!!

If I had the choice I’d drop for a mint SP1 .. as likely to retain value as an RC30 and I think off track a more realistic road bike .. and being a Yorkshireman , cheaper!!!

Always fancied an RC30 but several demo rides convinced me that I couldn’t fit on one. Had a couple of RC45’s later on. Not so pretty but a bit more room. Managed to tour on them too. Had a very tricked up SP1, but couldn’t stand the pain.

I'd love an SP1 or 2

I know though I'd be fidgeting within 10 mins. I am 20 years too late.
