I've been doing exh valves in a R100 with 78,000 miles ish on it
Replaced the guides and exh valves
But Bloody Hell the Inlet valve and it's seat are as hard as hell there's slight ovality on the valve and I'm at the end of my tether the bugger will fall inside if I grind anymore!
New exhaust valve ground in MUCH easier with a good seat all round probably cos the valve is still "soft ish"
I suppose if you heat and cool something a gazillion times then it will harden not to mention beating the schite out of it while you're at it
So leaded petrol my arse it's not lead that made that valve and seat that bloody hard!
