IV only had the bike a few weeks but IV noticed that the screen appeared to be offset a little to left at the top. That's what it looked like when I was riding so I measured it. I couldn't find an appreciable difference in the measurements of the screen compared to the frame. And when I looked down the bikes axis I could only see a very slight tilt to the left. I took the screen of and fiddled with the mounts noticing the lateral play in the mounting bolts that have a little circlip on. But nothing to indicate why it looked tilted.

Until I pressed down on the screen. It deflects on the mounts to the left under load. This explanes why it looks tilted when I'm riding it it due to air pressure on the screen!

Blimey at one point I convicted myself the front end was bent :blast

So that's the problem. No idea what the solution is yet.

You're lucky!

The cylinders on all my BMWs are uneven! One's too far forward compared to the other!

I tried hammering them into alignment, but the local dealer said I was a Fukwit :blast

Al :D

I believe Mr Hooton has developed some screen strengthening brackets for this very thing.

Have a look on his Cymarc site ;)

F*ck me. You guys should try riding whilst looking at the road, not masturbating over your screen.

:-)

What!?

Iv never considered masturbating over any part of my bike.
Unlike some apparently :P

But seriously I do think it aerodynamics that are the cause of the instabilities some are experiencing at higher speeds. If the air flow is deflected at an angle to the direction of travel then the rider will be compensating to maintain a straight line. However, the tires will be ever so slightly travelling across their tread. These forces and the reactions to them may only be relatively slight but could be sufficient to induce a weave at higher speeds.

Just a thought.

Yep, I'm definitely still drunk, as this makes no sense to me.:D

Are you seriously suggesting that a wonky screen on a fat arse GS could cause a weave?

Doh !

Mate, I think you are on to something.

Do though at least learn how to spell 'tyres' or bods will think you're a loon. Which would be a real pity.
