I thought My Nav 5 had failed

Whilst in France this weekend just gone it was fine whilst ever we were within 50 miles of our digs. once out of that range the screen went pretty much blank with no detail in the maps at ll and the sattelites could not place me accurately !

I was so worried i nearly sent Wapping a message !


Then I remembered that to save space on the memory card i had only installed limited mapping !


What a cock !

All is well in Nav 5 and basecamp world after all

The instructions and wot not still worked and it did get me to where i wanted/planned I just couldn't see it on the display which was actually quite interesting and reassuring at the same time.

so it seems that even when being a cock Garmin still works !
