I try an R9T

In 2016, I went into the BMW shop to look at a R9T and sat on the various models. I could not get comfy on any of them. Then I saw the now for sale ex-demo R1200RS in the lupin blue colour. Sat on it and was smitten. Didn't even test ride it. Last weekend of September and they were edging towards a quarterly bonus target with a load of Euro 3 bikes to sell before the end of the year. One R1200RS Euro 3 lupin in stock. Negotiated a no part ex deal with a grand off the price. When are you going to reveal you have bought it? I note it is no longer showing in A&D's stock ...

Aha did you not see my last update - I was waiting for Sally to return on the tues to do the deal (Stew was away as well) and someone came in on the Sat and bought it off the other salesman .... after all those months with very little interest

I am looking long and hard at Multi 950s now

Ah, missed it as it was in your "sold" thread so did not read

I wonder if it was someone lurking here or that other place you posted your video ...

I had an R9T scrambler in 2016 when they came out . It was lovely but cramped after many GSA;s . I kept it a year then back to a WC 1200 GSA . I now have a GS R 12G/S which is a really lovely bike and what I had hoped the R9T would have been . Very different and expensive but I really love it and its roomy

The black doesn't look great on the web but very attractive in the metal, I was surprised how nice.

The sales guy I dealt with had his R9T for sale in the showroom. He had spent a lot on extras to make it closer to an R12 G/S but in the end swapped.

I sat on both out of interest and even though he had high risers, high seat and different pegs and I think aftermarket suspension it just didn't feel as right.

I’ve only seen a black one in the flesh and really didn’t like it . Felt very small too. Not seen the faster colour version yet .

Of course the white / blue / red are best but I prefer the black to the more blingy sand one.

Small in which way? A lot less bulky than a standard GS yes. I added bar risers for a better stance standing on the pegs. They are not as high in the seat as an enduro bike but then given the extra weight that is not a bad thing.

If you'd just got off a Goldwing an airbus probably feels small 😂

I was expecting the seat height to be taller and the rider triangle not so cramped . But I think it was the non-Enduro oompah loompah version

Mike at 4 minutes is Stuart saying “ get that heap of German 5hite off our car park” 🤣🤣🤣

Halliwell Jones had a sand coloured one with the black block paintwork before Christmas as a demo too

Mine has the single style seat and no rear pegs but assume the height is similar?

Oooh I might have to take the demo out for a rip and a sneaky video

Just be aware in factory setting they are quite stiff. Backed right off I think they feel more planted for uk tarmac
Cheers I have ridden an HP2 Megamoto in Australia and was thinking it might be a bit like that
