Not having used the i-Tunes on my computer for the last few months, I've got a couple of cd's at Christmas that I wanted to load onto I-Tunes and then download them onto my ipod.

Now in the past I have just loaded the cd and it has gone into the i-Tunes library showing the track names and the artist.

So, back to my two xmas pressies: I loaded them onto i-Tunes and it shunted them to the bottom of the library list and didn't show the track names or the artists, and, when I tried to transfer them to my ipod, althought the 'do not disconnect' logo appeared (as if it was being updated) the two albums didn't transfer.

I have deleted them from i-Tunes and tried again but the same thing happened.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks for any help in advance - oh and the piss-taking too;)

Hmmmmm:confused:,
I have checked with the daughter (expert) and she has never heard of this particular problem. :nenau

Her only suggestion is, have you got the latest version of i-tunes?

Phil, Try loading the CD in again and then, making sure you have an internet connection , select the option for connecting to the gracenote database which should then pull in all the track info . It sometimes doesnt do it automatically.

The CDs have probably transferred to the ipod but without the album / artist / track name s so you cant find it .

itunes gets the track info from the internet. were you online when loading the discs?

Downloaded a couple of CD's t'other day that came from Readers Digest

Didn't show anything, no track listing or anything. Had to type in manually, and scan the CD case for photo and drag in to iTunes for the library art!

Good luck

you could always try ripping the CD to My Music using Widow Media Player, if necessary
then manually adding it to itunes using the "Add folder to Library" in the File menu
Once it is itunes on your computer, right click on it and "get album artwork" (if neceassary).
Then "drag" it onto your ipod under the "Devices" section of itunes

Used to work automatic but iTunes caught on and now you have to set up an account in their 'Store' to get auto tracks and album artwork - pish I know

+1 - This has happened a couple of time to me.

I've used Audiograbber to rip the CD, it found the titles while Itunes did not. I then imported into Itunes from the ripped filed.

Media monkey will do all this for you and synch with Amazon to get cd art and track titles if it needs to - and all your old stuff as well.

Connect any ipod and drag and drop any music anywhere

Don't bother with itunes

Haven't you got a school near you?

Get a couple of school kids to sort it for you!
