I just discovered last night when I went to sync my i-pod touch with i-tunes that i-tunes freezes and the sync won't complete. When I attempt to close i-tunes I get an error message telling me that i-tunes has encountered a problem and will have to close.

I did reset the i-pod back to my original settings, but not back to "as new" state with no joy at all.

All apps etc are visible on the i-pad but music is not. Sometimes the sync fails after one or two songs, or after a couple of hundred but it will not fully sync.

Any ideas chaps?

PC running Vista
I-tunes 10 fully updated
I-pod Touch with fully updated firmware etc

I had similar with my ipod, not a touch tho, just a click.Turned out to be the battery being duff!

Funny that you mention that. I had noticed that the battery life seemed very short of late. Time for a return to Apple methinks.

Thanks. :thumb2

When my Itouch got screwed up, and wouldn't synch or anything, despite hard resets, I deactivated Zonealarm and then was able to do a full restore. If memory serves, this problem happened after a upgrade to the Itouch o/s.

Once all as well, it synched fine with Zonealarm running. PB

I uninstalled and re-installed i-tunes, then restored my i-pod back to "as new" configuration but without success. :(

All apps and podcasts will load to the i-pod but when loading music i-tunes freezes.

As the i-pod is only 11 months old should I return it to Currys or to Apple for repair under guarantee?

TIA

My guess is there is just a glitch somewhere, as the beast is solid state and v. unlikely to "break".

It took me about 3-4 days of trial & lots of errors to sort out my problem.
Sorry I can't be of more help. :( PB
