I wish the app described the map areas better

My phone is set to auto-update apps and I never got the warning. A bit annoying as I was in France at the time, and it required vast downloads of data on slow or expensive connections to restore the maps. Luckily I don't use the connected app for navigation, just speed limits.

On the subject of downloading the maps, I wish there was some description or picture of what area is covered by each map. I mean, who would have thought Limoges was in South West France rather than Central France, it's bang in the bloody middle!

I guess Limoges is located in southwest central France. Hey-ho, never mind, there was a contributor to UKGSer who swore blind, that Calais is in northwest France. Quite where he thought Cherbourg was, was never revealed.

In fairness, the Limousin feels very like SW France (e.g. they have place name signs in Occitan like Chasluç alongside Châlus), though if the app's map regions are defined culturally instead of geographically they should make it clear. Preferably by showing a mini map of area coverage!
