. . . but I saw it mentioned on here so I went looking today. Haven't ridden in Dumfries + Galloway, but I think I'll go back for more.

Hi Boxerboy the Ladies in the tearoom are great ,I stopped in there a couple of years ago.I take it you went up the Raiders road from the pics. All around the Dumfries/Galloway fantastic scenery and friendly people ,Anyone who has not been , Is missing out big time.Francis:thumb

Great photos and looks like you got the best of today's weather. I was down that direction last Friday but didn't have the camera with me.

Today I nipped up the Campsies with the kids after popping into BMW Bishopbriggs. The weather was not ideal for a BBQ, bit wet and windy. Did get a chance to clamber around the falls to find some new viewpoints. Will return with a wide angle lens on Tuesday afternoon, after the bike's 12K service, weather permitting. Might even make it up to the Dukes Pass as well and its forrest trail.

I saw the post a couple a weeks ago, looked and googled and planned, but the weather the easter weekend was absolute gash, mind the day today:D

On my to do list

You've gone an done it now!

Been keeping the lid on D&G for years. Every bugger passes it by on their way up north. Now everyone'll want to go! Dinnae mention the forest drives ffs!

..........:D

it's just far enough in the corner to keep most people away and it's not on the road to anything so you get some peace and quiet....:JB

Called in there today heading home on the Tiger. A great wee cafe and one of my regular stops in D&G:thumb

Unfortunately the cafe was shut today when I took my lad down that way to show him that nice wee valley doon the A7xx :)

But we had to hurry home up the M74/A74 for his back shift. It was craaaap. Dry. Sunny. But cold. And the WIND. Jings. Still made a reasonable average home though

Too late.

Not many bikes about in D&G over the weekend though.
A few in Portpatrick on Sat. afternoon.

Only saw one GS all weekend.
