He averages about 500 a day riding in Nevada, Idaho, Montana, Washington, Oregon, and Cali. and mostly loves the Goldwing. He didn't like the heat and some of the boring highways.
Actually his video is pretty good at showing some what it's like riding through that area.

I get what Ian is saying/suggesting about getting past the boring miles to get to the good roads, its much the same travelling from the UK to Europe, or from the South of UK up to the North. And I agree that the use of a van, or trailer can be a good option, or, in my case my motorhome/trailer/ bike. But of course a Goldwing sized bike would then be a liability and all that is required is a small bike, or scooter.

I can kinda understand that too but TBH I've enjoyed crossing the flat section of Nevada. Probably because riding mile after mile of straight level road w/o a car in sight was so different to what I'm used to. Also it wasn't horribly hot either time for me.
I've never done it before but I'm thinking of doing some traveling with my truck and carrying a smaller motorcycle in the back.
