Ice cold in Iceland.............May 2014

Ok so its not my GS but it's the pedal powered equivalent............My Thorn Sherpa EXP on my trip to Iceland in late May. Weather was mostly dreadful on this trip to the Land of Ice and Fire although there were a couple of sunny days when it wasn't wet and windy! Rode around 500 miles against the wind!

The weather was so crap for a few days that I hired this 275,000km Suzuki Vitara from www.cheapjeeps.is and visited the Westfjords where it was even colder and you could drive for four hours and not see a car...............Arctic Fox centre was good though!

Will be in Reykjavik at Christmas visiting my sister and nephews. Don't expect to see much beyond the city on this trip given the short days. Hopefully some Northern Lights and Santa.

Around 450 less than I really wanted.............The weather just wasn't with me so I'm off again this May and I'm riding to Fortitude(Reydarfjordur) where i'll hopefully visit some friends and then continue my journey around the 900 mile Ringroad!
