Chaps , what are the options for getting trains away afterwards? Any main train stations nearby ?
Not nearby, guess you're ridingvthe bike up.
See if one of those in the second group can drop you off at Grimsby or somewhere on their route home ... obviously where there's a station.

I can give you a lift back to South East where you can pick up a train to London
We could trailer it up there but to keep trailer balanced I'd need to get him first otherwise trailer would be unbalanced. Also he's not coming south after dropping after bike so if have the same issue re: getting to a main line train stn.
Grateful for a lift anywhere to a main train line ( especially one south of hull)

Questions:
I planned to leave my helmet, jacket, trousers and boots secure to the bike with a secure cargo net thing. Do we need to leave keys for locks with the bike for customs inspections ?
Do we need to leave any paperwork with the bike when it's in the container?
Is it permission able to have alcohol in the panniers?

Don't need any paperwork other than the shipping papers.
No need to leave keys but it's a good idea to stash one set in case you forget to bring them!

When you deliver your bike to Immingham the only information you will be ask for at the security office as you enter the container terminal (second security building) is the IMM booking confirmation number, in my email sent to you all last week is the list of IMM numbers.
Just go into the security office and say you are delivering motorcycles to Samskip i have booked the bikes in for delivery at 12 noon on the 7th July they will have a list of the IMM numbers.
As i said in the email it would be best to meet at the BP service station and then travel together to the port, let the guys on the barrier know how many vehicles you are in and he will let you all go through together.
When you have loaded the bikes into the container make sure the Samskip guy makes a note of the bike reg numbers before he closes the container doors and puts the seal on as Samskip office needs to know which bikes are in which containers.

Nothing can be hanging from bars or strapped to bike seat!
So jacket, trousers boots over pannier with net keeping it in place?
Re: shipping paperwork we need to take, is this just the consignment number you provided ?

All you need is just the IMM ref number per my email
My question relates to Tim's reference to needing shipping papers. If this is the IMM number that's great.
