Folks, is there a mount available that would ack as the paper clip in the photo? Some thing with a ram ball on it to attach my phone cradle?

Thanks Bryn, it's not what I was thinking but it is perfect. Mmm, pricey though.

Is there a go to thread in here for 1150gs GPs mounts? I'd love a setup like on the 1200's above the dash...

Pricey Eoin, but you will get all the €€€ back when you sell it down the line. I had one and it sold in minutes on here. :thumb2

Ha ha! Custodian!

I'm concerned about vibration. One side of my dash is a bit loose...do they work? Do I have to pack it away every night?

Luke, I'm an owen no an Eoin. You might as well be calling me Peter!

You can't pack it away every night......to fit it, you have to take the silver top plate off, loosen the speedo fittings, get Michel's mount behind the bezel then tighten it up again.
You may also have to undo the speedo drive from the back of the speedo unit.

FWIW though, I had an instrument panel front clamshell thingy that was a bit loose, so I put in some pop rivets to mount the two halves together....ZERO vibration after that.

I guess you could mount a ram ball where your paper clip is, but you'd have to make a large plate with several curves on it UNDER the binnacle cover, with a tang sticking out where you paperclip is....not worth it.

The other option is a Rugged roads thingy which goes from the 'screen mounts on either side and gives you a plate stretching right the way across above the silver binnacle cover.

Well I was going to offer you some kit but ya can suck eggs now for it Peter Eoin :P:P:P

Hey Fanum thanks for the suggestions there. That rugged roads bar looks very useful but overkill for me. That speedo unit looks like the proper job.

For better or worse this is my dash now...I've subsequently hidden the stereo mini jack and I've routed the iPhone power the same route. More photos later in the week.

I'm running copilot Iive and its ok. It has a drag route option but it's not possible to route on the iPad and send that route to the iPhone....ImageUploadedByTapatalk1429391062.585809.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1429391095.505374.jpg

Ok that didn't work very well. Bounces all over the place. I've a small compass I'll fit instead of the ram ball. Doh!
