Anybody tell me what model BMW this caliper is from - cheers

ATE caliper, standard fitment on virtually all airheads up to about ( not sure of exact date ) 1983 ( ish ). Not the best caliper in the world TBH !!

Fits models up to 1980. The 40 stamped on it is the piston diameter. 1981 to 84 machines had more conventional looking Brembo calipers.
