In a moment of boredom the other day I noticed the little dust caps that are on the bottom of the throttle bodies were looking perished and cracked so I thought I'd reat the old girl to some new ones. I know it's extravagent but hey - I love my bike:augie

Anyway when fitting the new ones today - as I removed the left one an placed it on my pannier lid - what seemd to be oil dripped out of it....? I can't imagine why there would be oil there . I wiped the throttle body in the general area and couldn't detect any more but why the heck would there be oil ? Any one have any ideas ?
The bike is running fine ...so maybe I should fix it ....;)

Oil gets there if the bike has been overfilled, or its a sign of an impending explosion :D
Take your pick :thumb2

I noticed the same thing on one side of my bike. Could you be more specific on the impending disaster? thanks...

Sorry I was exaggerating (totally lying) about the impending disaster, oil works its way into the airbox via the breather when overfilled, from the airbox it is drawn towards the engine, nothing to worry about :thumb2
