I found the (my) limit with Tourances today, resulting in my being dumped in deep mud, came home happy but caked in shite, not got a happy Mrs at the moment:(

What would you use for a more off road bias than Tourances?

I'm asking because the local tyre fitters don't seem to have heard of TKC's  and I'm thinking of chancing something with a bit more mud plugging ability.

Get TKC's somehow. I did many miles off road in deep mud/rocks/gravel, with luggage, and they are brilliant. They work almost as well on road too.

A bit more off-road oriented then the TKC is the Metzeler Karoo.
More noisy on Tarmac, but offroad, under muddy conditions better then the TKC...
Othe , even more off-road oriented would be the MEFO Stonemaster, very popular with the Dutcgh gs-club offroaders...

Thanks again Zwerver, I've got the details and will having a look around after Xmas.
I'm thinking of putting the knobbly types on for the rest of the winter and going back on Tourances for the summer.
