If there were more parents like this

had not known about the larger bag of drugs and that his friends may have left if there the previous day.
I tried that line on my mum when I was 17 as well, she knocked 7 shades of #### out of me. I didnt do it again.

(It was cigs & alcohol that I had btw.)

Perhaps she could have raised him better in the first place so he didn't think it right to deal in drugs.

I'm not sure....:duno ....you don't get any context from the story, if it's a one off example of teenage adventure, she's been a bit tough in criminalising the boy, personally all of that aside, if it were mine it would have been dealt with in the house, I would have kicked his arse up and down the stairs a few times, it is only a bit of 'Class C' after all, but as I said before, there's little context to the story.....

Until he moves on to selling Class A to the local kids :spitfire

Class A or C they are drugs and he got caught albeit by his Mother.

bold leap there.....:mmmm ......I've used Class C in the dim and distant past and you don't see me flogging it to kids down at the school.....:augie

Could be all sorts behind this story. Maybe she's the local dealer and he was moving in on her turf?:D

Brillinat! Nothing says "I love you and I've just ****ed your life over son!" like a drug conviction!

All fair for scaring the little cnut seanseless. But most people have had a wee "dabble" with weed. Part of being a tenager. And certainly get him to short his shite out but marking him for the rest of his life with a drug conviction???

Mind you as some has said already we don't know the full circumstances. He could be complete little Hitler!

oh shit !:eek:there's that nazi reference in a thread on a internet forum ....:augie

I tend to agree with Dickieboy when he said "if only it were that simple"

Whilst I have never advocated or condoned drugs in any form living within a home where I like to think I have raised my three children the very best I could, I have been unfortunate enough to have experienced first hand the detrimental effects of drug related behaviour, both alcohol as well as class c and in one of my children who is now an adult. He is a product of failed social, professional and medical practices after being physically and mentally abused through years of school bullying, where outside the home he recieved no assistance whatsoever and now some seven years later came close to breakdown for more than just him.

I like that lady on more than one occasion wanted to do what she did, but was always afraid of such drastic action haunting him in future life, so I decided against it. We are now hopefuly on the road to some form of resulation with doctors, councillors and a large plethora of professionals who are eventually starting to look at the causes of such behaviour in at least my son. He has now at last recieved the medication to relieve the symptoms of his recurring problems with the long term effects and solutions being addressed daily by all of us.

I sincerely hope that any of those contributing to this forum never have cause to make naive statements pointing blame in anyones direction without attempting to ascertain the background of such cases and I also hope that nobody ever has to relive the last seven years or so that my family has had to.

That's put a few people in their place :thumb.

Forums are a very easy place to right the world with a few taps on a keyboard - much harder in the real world.
