Im having a garage clearout of bits I collected to build an R100GS HPN. Long story cut short. I flew over to Germany to see Klaus Pepperl at HPN to discuss him moding my R100GS into a Rallyesport. I had collected the R1100 swingarm, prop shaft, a 2009 front end off an Aprillia crosser (50mm Mazocchi Shiver forks, triple clamps, 21" black anodised front wheel with spindle, front brake caliper, wavy disk, master cylinder, fat bar clamps etc) R100GS chassis and rear end . After having a good look round his works and discussing the price he promised to send me a quote so I could pay the deposit. Returned to England after a good look round the Eagles Nest. That was in Septermber and since then I have heard nothing. Even chased him several times, still nothing. So the bits will appear on bits for sale and eventually Fleabay.:ChrisKelly

Familiar story , they didn`t seem to want my pennies either:confused:business must be so good in Germany , Johnny Foreigner can feck off :D

There is a big market for airhead specials, small specialist builders are just stupidly busy keeping up with demand. If you want one,may I suggest that you put teddy back in his pram and be a bit more patient.I'm building one with most of the work being done by Moorespeed,I'm at 3 years and counting trying to get it finished.Workshop time is scarce so I'm happy to wait as the end result will be the only bike I'll ever want/need until the day I stop riding.

I appreciate your comments and i have not thrown out my toys. However when you are promised a quotation several times and nothing transpires then my attitude is feck off I will take my business elsewhere or buy something different.....which I have.:ChrisKelly

I had exactly the same experience with HPN and Herr Pepperl a couple of years ago. They did absolutely nothing for me, zilch. Never returned my calls or emails, never ever did what they promised to do..hopeless.
I respect the fact that it's their business and they can do what they want, but why don't they just tell us they are not interested in our business and put us out of our misery.

Pics of the Caterham? .............lovely toys. Unfortunately I am too chunky to fit it those things,my bruv had a Westfield with a mazda rotary engine in and it was epic.it spat dirty great flames out of the exhaust, brilliant to follow at night ( you'd never keep up with it).:D

I don't know about that, a well ridden airhead GS :augie I suppose it depends upon how many wee stops you take to a tankful?
