For me i think i would miss the tank bag the most, so it would have to be that

Assuming ABS is not an accessory i'd go with heated grips as well. They make a world of difference.

My girlfriend makes an excellent extra set of eyes and shes interesting to chat to as well, makes the motorway miles go much quicker

Luggage - panniers. You may well have warm hands and had a good chat - but you'll have a wet set of spare underwear!

Panniers. A whole new world opened up when I stuck a set of TT's on my Varadero and it's the first thing I've put on every new bike since. It's great to have a set of waterproofs, spare gloves, earpugs or whatever with me all the time. Handy when I buy stuff too. I always hated having to lug a rucksack around, especially in the summer and tank bags are OK but, not too secure against theft.

Definitely luggage, thats the point behind having a 'go anywhere' bike, if you are travelling you need to take stuff with you.
