If you had any doubts about your purchase watch this!

I actually met these guys at the Stelvio, nice guys, I hope that you are not too disappointed with their best bike choice!

Thanks Batman1, a great film , brought back some fantastic memories of 13 years ago :thumby:

And it was nice they thought the BMW was the preferred bike, :D

In Red too, :rob

Yes, I believe that as they were only being loaned the one bike, the testers specifically asked the factory to send out only their fastest colour!

Obvious! :augie

PS. What a great little film for us guys! :thumb2

Very good film, having ridden all the bikes apart from the KTM I think it was just about spot on:clap

I would put the MS top for performance but the BMW is a better allround bike:cool:

Oh yes, anyone who doesn't take their BMW into mainland Europe, especially riding the mountain passes, should just do it. Spoils you for the rest of the time on this island tho'.
If you don't fancy doing the arrangements yourself go with one of the tour companies and especially next year's BMW Garmisch Fest. This year's Garmisch Fest was absolutely brilliant in every way.

Doing the Edelweiss Tour in 3 weeks weeks , interesting I asked for the KTM but they said they didn't have. Took the WC as I am familiar with it and the Multi I have owned for two years, and know the BM will be much better two up.

Good film, MCN could take a leaf from that book!

It is truly a bikers paradise, the bikers mecca, every biker should try to get there and ride those superb alpine passes, even if it's just once in his or her lifetime.

As one of the testers said, 'it should be on the bikers bucket list'. :thumb

yep think that says a lot about the bike,,,

did you see it wobble and hear all the cracks and bangs from the gearbox,:thumb

Great video, I don't think there is anything to touch the technology of the BMW suspension. The clanky gearchange is not an issue with that kind of riding, good positive changes but it still needs sorting. Try a test of riding it around Paris for 5 days.
The BMW is still the best allrounder and more so if doing a lot of 2 up riding.:thumb2

Oh so true.

3 weeks and I'll be there myself.. Can't wait.

Love the Alps great roads, nice places to stop, good people, good food and the beer.....

:bounce1

Really enjoyed the video. Done the French Alps a few times but never into Italy, really whets the appetite. Thanks for posting.

Cheers
Jimmy

Brilliant video, if only for the scenery!

Brings back memories of many previous Alps trips and jealous as hell for all those off there this summer, happy travelling.

As for the bike I'm still absolutely loving it - no regrets whatever:bounce1

Might run into you, well see you ? I liked the fact that the guide seemed to prefer the GSW ?

Came back 10 days ago from a 10 day Swiss Alps & Dolomites trip, 2500 miles on my WC GS. Do this trip every year, but as some one else said, it ruins the rest of the years biking :-(
Funny, I stayed in Seefeld this trip for the first time, as they did.
Re gear box, mine was previously a bit graunchy from first to second, but after this trip it's much better. Reckon I just beat it into submission on those mountain roads !!

Yep, a few have said that their bikes get better the more miles they get on the clock. It shouldn't be that way, but it sounds like that's the way it is.:rob
