Any idea what it "really" is in the bottle?

A check with Royal Mile Whiskies reveals that they are out of stock for the 12year old Tamnavulin bit it normally retails for £32.50.

I think Lidl sell for circa £12.99!!!...

http://www.scotchwhisky.net/distilleries/silent/tamnavullin.htm says it was mothballed in 1996. Hence there's not going to be much left. The current shipment in Lidl is probably the last.

With the weak dollar exports to the US will be much lower, so expect further opportunist Lidl offers as the big corporates won't want to keep their cash tied up in slowly evaporating stock...
