If your stuck for what to get for Christmas

Depends what you want them for. If you actually want some protection then the machine Art head protectors are crap. Had them on a GS I bought second hand....very pretty but the mountings snap....even if you lay the bike, down gently...ahem!

The engine protection bars will give you far more protection....and Hammerite silver is the same colour if you do drop the bike and scratch them.....well the ground was gravely ....foot slipped and the rest was inevitable.

Always the bars. I have both, but suspect the covers would be fairly useless and in some cases I'm aware of have gone through the pot cover in a crash.

Although the real question is, do you need them at all? I never had any bars or covers on sports bikes, and they were ok ;)

Mine came to me with the Touratech head protectors. They do look a lot better than the standard jobbies. I also had a "foot slipped in the car park" event and one now has a war scar. There's no sign of any bending.

I doubt they would do anything useful in a proper get-off and ditto the crash bars. In any case the forks and final drive will be fecked long before anything major happens to the engine. Rocker covers are cheap in comparison to that lot.

As for Xmas pressie's - I want a Hilltop remeap. But we have a posh wedding on 21st and Mrs BT is buying outfit(s) so that's my pressie down the swannie.
