Ignition feed for added lights

Done a search (wasn't sure what to search for) Can't find FAQ so
-

I want to add an ignition operated live to trigger a relay for some Givi lights. Can someone direct me to a suitable wire to to tap into Thanks.

The live on the back of the auxiliary power by the clocks. Just tap into it, goes dead 60 seconds after ignition it off in case you forget to turn lights off.

Iv used it for 2 sets and it's very handy

I've used the connection under the seat. There is a black plug facing the tank, disconnect it and there are 2 fuses the 7.5 one is ignition fed and stays live for a Minute after the ignition is turned off. I bought a mini piggy back fuse holder off ebay and made the connection that way.

I've used the same to trigger a "fuzeblock" distribution device. The video on how to install this shows you where to pick up the feed.

Look up R&G racing web site. Denali do a piggyback wire that uses the side light and has a trigger wire. Brilliant !

Brilliant thanks both. I have a fuseblock too and aim to use that.

Done, all up & running

And as you say they stay on for 30 seconds or so. Coming home lights

I took a feed of a cable under the seat (Red/Blue wire). It is indeed the live side of the 7.5A fuse which does stay live for a time after switch off

I've already got a cable fitted to the battery for my Optimate so I just plug into that. I had a spare lead I just cut the end off but I do believe you can but them online
