Ignition module heatsink..... or not ?

Hi, I'm using this module on my project and wonder if the mounting bracket is also a heatsink ? If it is , is it necessary , as space is a premium . thanks in advance , Mike

Always good to have a heatsink and the module is supposed to have one. Theres nothing stopping you bolting the thing to a chunk of anything in an airflow though (as long as it's earthed).

Always worth cleaning up the face of the module and re-applying heatsink paste
