The first of possibly many dumb questions..............

With the ignition on but engine not running there is the initial noise of the fuel pump priming but there is then a continuos whirring noise - anybody know what it is?

Andres

I assumed it was either the TC or suspension.
It flattens your battery pretty sharpish , that I do know :(
And I hope I dont meet the guy that can bump one of these bikes down a dark alley

It won't be the suspension as mines all manual - it sounds to me like the fuel pump  which seems weird as why would it be running continuously when the engine is not running?

Andres

i think it's the fuel pump. pretty sure that mine does it.

i also think many FI systems continually pump petrol around a circuit, bleeding off what is required for the engine.

Are you even allowed to touch the new bike yet Andres? If she catches you she'll give you something of your own to whine about!
