Well, I trooped over to the BMW showroom this very morning to get a good gander at an F800GS. Bumped into a ukgser.com member while I was there, Peter, nice bloke,
I guess it was all meant to be. . .
The dealership is called Cooper's, my middle name is Cooper.
The salesman's sister lives just a couple of doors down from me.
The salesman's mobile has the same ring tone as mine (The only other phone I've ever heard using it)
The only 800 they had in stock was the right colour and had all the extras I wanted, except the alarm and hand guards which they will fit for me no problem. So I don't have to wait weeks for delivery.
I was going to get the standard seat, but luckily the bike in the showroom had the lowered version fitted and is just the right height for my wee legs!
It was all meant to be I tell ya! Due for delivery in a week or so, once all the bits are sorted and the insurance is through.
Did I test ride it? Why? You've already told me it's worth getting so if I don't like it when it's delivered it's your fault.
