I'll Miss Parts Of It.

Did you not test ride it? And if so did you test ride the bike under the conditions you require it to be good, ie commuting?

To which you could add: Do you take the (usually completely empty) Adventure panniers off before embarking on the treacherous journey through Chester?

Many don't. Preferring to perpetuate 'the look' and carry air around..... and, of course, then worry endlessly that the panniers corrode and how best to polish them......;)

I actually meant has he test ridden the Trumpet before purchasing, but good point none the less.

Why is it that out of all the biking forums I have frequented that this one has the biggest jerk offs on it? In fact I have never been on any forum where there has been any sort of sarcasm, just plain honest help. The sarcasm on here isn't even funny.

When I talk to my non BMW owning mates about it they all say. 'Thats BMW owners for you'.

Guys you got to get with the program.

So what makes him think he can flout the rules & sell his tat for free in the wrong section? And why would I want to buy his tat anyway, when he could just be another chancer trying to sell stolen goods for free!

The for sale section is a good place to buy & sell, I have had only good experiences. Making it free for any Herbert to register & sell (with 8 posts) would attract the bottom feeding pondlife!

Pay your £12 you tight twat! :nenau

Sometimes I have the panniers on and sometimes I have them off, it depends on if I'm carrying anything. I would agree that although the panniers aren't any wider than the bars it is easier in traffic if they are off.

You were a bit presumptuous about the location of my journey, I don't commute in Chester, I go through Liverpool and the tunnels.

I noticed a few comments about the presence of the GS and the fact some cars move out the way. I would say that more people moved for me when I was on my GSXR than on the GS, particularly on motorways. Maybe it was the sound of the race system I had, or maybe the speed at which I approached. I don't know, but that's what I experienced. I think maybe you're more grateful when people move out the way on the GS because often you can't get past unless they do. I think that car drivers that move for bikes, move for all bikes. I don't think they see them and think I'm not moving for that one.

Or he could just be selling something of excellent quality that was just what you wanted for a really good price. There you go again, not learned from the previous post, and making yourself look like a complete ****.

Oh, it seems you can type twat but **** is right out. :D

And I can't believe I just referred to myself in the 3rd person. That's embarrassing. :blast

Then show you are genuine by making a commitment & paying your subs, if you want to sell like everyone else?

Why is that making me look a complete c**t?
It just makes you look a tight c**t!

So Silas, answer my question, how much time are you going to save each day by chopping the GS for a Triple R?

Thats just not true ...................

some of it is bloody hilarious:D:D:D

If a bit weird at times

I agree, filtering a loaded GSA is eeerm... challenging

This thread is a joke, right

Good luck Silas, speak your mind:thumb2

He has been getting a lot of unnecessary stick hasn't he?

I do find it strange how some seem not to be able to comprehend/cope with the fact that the GS might not be the best bike for everyone:nenau

Surely I don't need to answer that? Maybe you're just the forum idiot that should be ignored.

Please do answer! :thumb

I would suggest by PM, but you can't.

Why do you think appearing out of the blue and trying to shift gear in the wrong section is a good thing?

And why is making a small donation by paypal, and in doing so, leaving a trail to your doorstep such a bad thing.

You clearly have no experience of online scammers .... You couldn't cash a cheque for my Nigerian uncle could you? :D

Now then Craig lad, enjoy the Triumph I know its gonna bring back the FUN to your commute and that you wernt just after saving 2 mins like someone is surgesting also you can afford to buy another bike because you want it and not because its some odd business plan or a deal with the wife to make you hoover the stairs for the next 6 months. Having known the lad and know that he has had a fair range of bikes and uses them everyday regardless of weather, rather that putting the full tw@t suit on and nipping to the local meet once a month if it's sunny it seems fair that he can have a opinion on the gs. Why is there such a big deal about him mentioning in his post that if anyone wants whatever he was selling (knowing him it will be virtually new and sold for peanuts) that they should get in touch? If your that bothered about internation fraud or thieving scumbags dont reply.

Fair point Dave! :thumb

But he was the one who took the hump with toad for removing his for sale items . . I'm just trying to point out how things work around here!

Oh, I'm beginning to see how things work around here. This is the most biased, single minded forum I've ever seen. Everyone's so excited and eager to defend the GS that they're missing the point. I usually change my bike every 2 years for a new one anyway, so 18 months isn't so bad, added to the fact I never said it was a bad bike. It was actually a loan bike from BMW that made my mind up to change it. My gsa was in the shop for a replacement wheel speed sensor and they gave me an F800R as a loan. I had more fun going to work on the F800R for a few days than I did on the GS that is all. Why is it so hard for some of you to admit that although the GS is a great all round bike, it may not be ideal for nipping through city traffic?

Because everyone else who sells on the forum sponsors it, and posts the sale in the correct area. Why should someone who's contributed fairly little be allowed to circumvent the rules

Very good, and bang on topic. Are you and bod gay lovers? Maybe you two should start your own forum where you can just talk about how great the pair of you are on your gs's, and not allow anyone else a view.
