Ilmberger hugger

The rubber at the base of the hugger has rubbed the paint off the inside of the paralever. The paint BMW use must be ultra thin and very soft. Best attempts at solving this by bonding rubber to the paralever using double sided sticky tape hasn't worked. Anyone else using these huggers has similar problems?

Mine is exactly the the same. First noticed it about 6 months ago when there was a strange noise when pressing down on the rear suspension.

Hardly a cure but I periodically put a bit of grease on the rubber to stop the noise and to prevent further damage.

Might be worth complaining to Ilmberger if you bought new. Mine was a used e bay buy.
