Dave enjoy the new bike - had my GSA since June and done just under 4,000 miles and no issues so far and cannot find anything not to like

Only minor complaints were the screen supports once I fitted a taller screen were not up to the job (Cymark extra supports cured this). Also I personally did not like the seat and have fitted the Touratech extra tall one instead.

Certainly have no wish/need for keyless ingnition

............and of course "action man" green is the best colour :thumb

Am I missing something? Is this bike a "special shade" of green?

It might be quicker than the old bike but it doesn't handle any better than my older bike and the wc engine sounds like a tumble drier full of ball bearings at tick over and lower revs, yet to be seen if I am going to love this one

Interesting to hear engine noise comments from a new bike owner. As one with no previous BMW history (I did have a wire wheel R100RS many years ago), it was and still is my only moan with my '13 WC bought in October. I have grown to accept what I describe as a "cackle" and have gone down the road of ear plugs (ACS moulded). Accepting "they all do it" is one thing but as an engineer and a rider of many years, I do wish some one would satisfy my curiosity and explain the source of the "cackle/ball bearing in a tumble dryer" noise. A plea direct to BMW produced the usual "So very sorry, take it to the Dealer" reply. Two different ones were not able to help.

Oh dear - go on I will explain it for you
No it's the standard green which just happens to be a near perfect match for the Action Man vehicles I had when I was a kid

thanks Lads just got it booked in for its first service . Each to their own on the colours etc my first choice was white so I'm pleased with that ,Blue would have also been good,,wasn't too keen on the action man green , looks good at that angle of light in the picture though..

Keyless igniton was always a No NO for me after what I've seen on the Ducati and the K1600 …my friend has had a shit load of probs with this on his 1600 gt ….he could start the bike only by holding the key over the position of the transponder ,then when he put the key in his pocket ,it sometimes stopped running !!!! imagine the bike running and then losing the signal off the key and coming to a halt !!! it never happened but i think its possible it might in some extreme circumstances..this would be mega dangerous … He also locked the steering one day , the key started the ignition but kept the steering lock on !!! not for me
