I'm In Belfast 8th to 11th of November

You're two weeks early, the beer festival isn't on until the 21st
And Belfast Music Week starts on the 11th :comfort
Sorry apart from the usual tourist stuff, that week seems pretty quiet

However if you want something nice for lunch go to Meat In A Bap on Bedford Street :thumb2

Babs Big Baps - I spotted a roadside cafe trailer, with this wonderful name emblazoned on the side, the other day...

There's also a new find for me Called BooJum near the city centre (there's 2 of them) Depending on where you are and what you are doing we can meet up for a sandwich or maybe find ya something to do of an evening

Have you accommodation sorted?

There's four of us flying over for a long weekend jay. Picking up car and staying in hotels. No real plans. I'll give you a call if there's a chance we could meet up with you.

Meat In A Bap, seriously the photos are enough to make you drool.

This looks sort of cool Diwali With The Dhol

Check out St Georges Market on the Saturday morning for breakfast, lots of stuff on offer from local to international

If it is lashing it down outside take yourself over to the Odyssey, there is a bowling alley, cinema, W5 (it's good craic), restaurants and a load of bars.

Somewhere nice for dinner is the award winning Mourne Seafood Bar, beautiful food and they don't rip you off. It is also right next door to Kelly's Cellars, the oldest pub in Belfast, built in 1720. It's a quirky wee pub and they usually have some trad music on the go.

One of the nicest streets in Belfast is Botanic Avenue, go here if the weather is decent, it's in the University Quarter and is very bohemian, lots of nice coffee houses (highly recommend Clements) and nice restaurants. Boojum that Jay mentioned is on Botanic.
At the top of Botanic Avenue are the Botanical Gardens and if you walk through there you'll come out at the Ulster Museum, it's actually pretty interesting.

sweet lord it's enough to make you lick the screen, between the tender meat, bacon & garlic corn-on-the-cob, the sweet potato chips and all those lovely sauces :drool

Gotta think of a reason to get to Belfast... (well, another reason :D)

Might sound a bit old gitish but I would recommend the Belfast bus tour. You will learn a lot about the local history/politics and see a lot more of the city. The driver that did the tour I was on was hilarious, covering the more sensitive "troubles" subject with a balanced point of view and a lot of laughs. Then again, if there's 4 lads on a long weekend you might just want to spend it in The Crown http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/crown-bar/

there's plenty of pubs and restaurants in the Cathedral Quarter..
If you make it to the Cathedral Quarter hunt out The Hudson Bar, it's a bit different from the usual, the beer menu is something wild like 40 pages long and the beer garden has a hot food takeaway in it, however you won't find burgers they only serve rustic wholesome food.
If you'd like a posh meal and have plenty if cash to throw about then book a table in the Merchant, it's super fancy and you get treated very well, been a few times, the food has been excellent and the Grand Dining Room is beautiful but I'd still rather have the Mourne Seafood Bar... chowder nom nom :D
