I'm looking for a RAM mount with a 1.25" circular base

I've finally decided how I'm going to mount my Road Angel to my bike.

I need to get hold of a circular mounting 'plate' of about 1.23" - 1.5" diameter.

I'm afraid that the RAM website has got me totally confuzzled.

Can anyone tell me which RAM part number I should be asking for?

The ball size on the bike is B size, so parts sequence always.. RAM-B-xxx or RAP-B-xxx. The round or circular base is RAM-B-202 and is 2.5" so you could re-work/shape the part (file or dremmel) without losing the hole fix pattern . The RAM-B-238 diamond base and may be a thought and has a two hole fix pattern, but the R-A may have a fix pattern on the case (?).

There are some option on mounting, maybe a radar plate option, RAP-300-1. which has magnetic pads. Otherwise email with links of the bits and the bike (my card is at the top of the page).

There is a little recess 3.5cm in diameter in the lower half of the Road Angel casing. I'd hoped to find something to fit this.

I had initially planned to use super-strong Velcro to maintain the contact. The RA weighs very little, and will have both a power lead and an audio lead connected.

It had occurred to me to open the case and see if it would be feasible to bolt through from the inside of the case into a RAM mount. However, I don't know yet how easy it will be to open the RA case, or even if there is room for a set of bolts which I guess I'd have to epoxy glue in to stop them turning when being tightened. Oh, God, the whole thing is getting more and more complicated.

I already have RAM-B-202 which is overkill with its size. It'll work, clearly, but won't be as neat as a smaller mount.

I've looked at the RAP-300-1. Road Angel do provide a self-adhesive magnetic patch to fit the recess described above. I don't know if it would have sufficient strength to hold the RA on a moving bike, compared to super-strong Velcro, or even bolts, if I go that route.

D D I do have a RAP-300-1 in the UK so can compare and comment .. the mag base is very strong and would be very surprised if it did not hold the device secure.

I looked at the websites and it wasn't at all clear to me.
