it feels like first is too long because the engine management is so woeful it doesn't make any sensible power below 2k and the wrong type of clutch is fitted, (single plate car joke) rather than the one virtually every Japanese manufacturer worked out was the way forward in 1965 and yet it took BM till 2013 to do it... (which should be noted they got very wrong on the early ones). As for the post a few above yours where he wanted a longer 6th. Yes desperately needs longer top gear, but would be better served by putting a 7th in there... like I told them to, way before the 1250 came out.
