I'm now a GSer

Hi Robbo, must be the weather for us GS Jock newbs ;)

Cheers for the road test Roddy, sounds like you are happy with your purchase for sure. I'm pretty certain the brakes on the GS 11 are not linked. On any of my many previous bikes I've very rarely used the rear brake, relying on the front to haul the bike up. The only time I use the rear is in the wet, when filtering or manoeuvring at low speed or for tightening my line when banked over. Keep me posted with how you find the bike over the next few weeks while I'm waiting for Motorrad to get things moving. Perhaps the red seat once spruced up will be OK :)

John might be good to get a Scottish ride out arranged? unless someone else has already done so? don't want to stand on any toes here:)

I’m now the proud owner of a 1999 GS1100 in black. John

Another day, another tosser!

:D

Greg

PS You've bought the fastest colour - only the seat may slow you down a little. Get a black seat too!

Cheers m8, I hope I can live up to the esteemed tosser tag :D :D

Robbo, yeah a meet somewhere and ride out would be great. I'm getting the steed on 23rd of this month so anytime after this would be np :)
