I'm off to Spain for 3 Days riding with Mick Extance - 1 space left

I did the NEC bike show today and spotted a last minute deal from these folks....

For £395 instead of £550 you get 4 nights accommodation, 3 days riding/training with Mick Extance, airport transfers, breakfast & lunch, all your fuel and riding gear is supplied. The only thing to pay for is evening meals & drinks. There were 3 places left at the special price so I've booked 2 - one for me and one for Didier ( from the Wales weekender ). Easyjet flights were £30 each way.

It starts on the 7th of November and finishes on the 11th of November. If anyone else fancies joining us, there's 1 place left. It looks really good

... he's using this trip as training for the Dakar which is one of the reasons it caught my eye. It's going to be flat out for 3 days on someone elses bike - and in the sunshine. How can you beat that? Roll on the 7th....

Well made it back in one piece and what a great week that was .

It was so good, I'm going back next year - probably around September'ish. I'll do a post here nearer the time as there's definitely people here who'd absolutely love it. The terrain is a good mix and the pace is as fast as you like... they use a leader/sweeper system, making sure the group is kept together at regular stops. There were 7 of us punters ( maximum is 8 ) and 3 instructors.

Here's a few pictures from the trip...

the bikes we used were the Suzuki DR400E

all the equipment was supplied - no need to take helmets or clothing

a typical view with the road we just rode up on visible as the white line in the picture

it was the greenest i've ever seen Spain - i've only seen it in the summer before

We got to around 6000 foot above sea level at the highest points

The tour is based in Competa - a really lovely village - the foods great there

This hill was REALLY steep

You can just see the bike going up it in the distance

That's Mick Extance the Dakar racer on the CCM. He's a really top bloke

that's gotta hurt !!

It would actually be a great place to take a GS to and mess about. I'll put a post up next year before I book and if anyone else fancies coming along I guarantee you won't regret it. Top stuff
