imac help

upgraded to mountain lion

had the new iMac 5 months

when clicking on any link including back buttons on safari etc keep getting drop down menu rather than the destination desired, sometimes takes 2/3 clicks to bypass this

dont know why but irritating to say the least

any help ideas will be gratefully received

Not in front of my imac at the mo but it sounds like something needs clicking in the accessibility control panel.

thanks boxer worked out its MY dexterity panel

i am used to a 2 button mouse (PC / windows for xx years)
been drifting my finger over to the middle /right side of the apple mouse mouse thus effectively right clicking!!

so sloppy practise by me plus paranoia with new OS = tw@t

My MacBook does that, it seems more sensitive though since update to ML?

If i press and hold, it drops down seemingly in, less time than it did before?
