I don't know what it is on my little used iMac
Certain apps want to access the passwords - i don't know the password. The 'window' that pops up requesting the password gives three options
Always allow
Allow
Deny
First two are out of the question obviously, third option just causes the window to blink momentarily then ask for the password again. There is no option to change password, no 'forgotten password' option, no way of removing the window from the screen that i can see...
I tried resetting the keychain password following online Apple guidelines but when I finally found the correct route the required options were greyed out..
I am oblivious to the finer operating tricks of the Apple OS. I'd appreciate some help but beware.. knowledgable types using computer jargon to suggest options invariably lose me in the first sentence. "just open the xxxx file and substitute for a xxxx* means nothing to those of us still in the dark ages.
If there's something that can be done...can it be advised in words an 89 year old who's technical prowess extends to operating a light switch would understand...please
