best supplier? best price?

all suggestions / help gratefully accepted

Not sure extra RAM will address the root of the problem as RAM empties every time you turn the computer off ready to be 'refilled' when turned on again.

You had 4GB when it was new and you still have 4GB...........So, why is it now slower than it once was?

No idea, but I am sure people will soon come along who do know.

Try repairing and verifying the disk permissions via the Disk utility.
Takes about an hour but well well worth it.

Also, have a go at resetting Safari, speeds up the browser no end!

What size is the Hard Drive? Ram upgrade won't do much if the Hard drive is filled with clutter, that will slow the computer.
Upped the drive on my ancient Vaio from a 100 gb to 500. Speed issue solved:D

Yep, if the disk is nearly full it won't like it. Get a USB external and have a tidy up
