Imminent trip - what is mandatory ?

I have an policy with my credit card, for travel insurance, which doesn’t require I tell them where or when I’m going. Same with my car insurance policy, or at least one of them.

All different, I guess,
Mine is similar in the respect that I have no need to tell them when or (providing it’s within the area covered) where I’m going. It would appear that some policies are much more awkward re when, where, for how long etc. I’ll need to be aware of these types of policy at renewal time.

What you think and reality are not the same.

So very true sir ; I thought I was covered for travel delays , up to £1,000
I’m only claiming £100 but, insurers not being helpful .
Full story, including names of involved parties ,will be published on here if I don’t get a satisfactory response from supervisors , later today.

Just got back, no breathalyzer, no hi viz, lack of respect for speed limits in the palces where we could ride for 30 minutes and not see anyone or anything and no Police beatings, being held without charge, locked up for 50 years - amazing!

Thinking back I think we did not see a single plod car in about 800 miles of riding in France, saw one coming past our Hotel in Vianden as we were eating outside, and they did not detain us at gunpoint either?

The fall of the west and complete lack of law and order is great for us outlaw bikers

The news is , that I thought I was covered for travel delays , but the small print did not cover the reasons for my travel delay . I dare not name names , but was hugely annoyed at the time , by the way that my bank handled my claim.
Five of us were involved at the scene of a possible fatal accident ( M4 closed for 3 hours while medics worked on the person )
We were not , however, ‘Involved in THE accident ‘
The insurance cover , needs the claimant to be involved in the accident . Case closed firmly shut . No room for argument .
