So you've got a 1200GS, right? And you don't have any panniers? But BMW kindly put brackets on to enable you to fit vario panniers...

If you don't need them, take 'em off - 10min job, max, and makes the back end look muck skinnier and sexier.

I've just done mine - should have done so 3 years ago.

Pity I'm going to spoil it by fitting H&B tin can panniers!

yup remove the subtle placcy panier bracket and then bolt on a huge piece of ironmongery to attach a set of boxes onto...

Alternatively use SW motech pannier frames which just leave a wee metal bracket....

Any one know how much the plastic thingies are that plug the holes left after removing the pannier hangars?
