I am looking to improve the performance (or at least the perceived performance) of my 2003 1150GS. I used to have a Staintune can on my VFR750 which made it sound like a big V8 and gave a wonderful buzz when opening it up. I am after something similar on the GS. Will a Remus Revolution and y piece liven up the ride somewhat - whilst my staintune only gave a handful of extra BHP which I probably didn't notice, it delivered a significant increase in the feeling I got riding the bike through a better sound. For those who have purchased a Remus, is i worth the 400 or so quid. In order of priority, I want great sound, then improved performance.

Fitted a Remus Revolution carbon can on my R1150GSA Se on Wednesday along with a Y piece and TFI. Looked at various options but the above combination seems to be a popular one. Besides looking nice, the Remus sounds fantastic. I haven't taken the baffle out yet but probably will. If you decide to go down the Y piece route as well, you wont believe the weight of the cat when you take it off! Had my first good ride on it today up to Llandovery. Really noticed the improved performance mid range which is where I like it best! It wont do much top end, but your probably not interested in that or you wouldn't be riding a Gs! :clap

Bos y-piece + Bos end can (with baffle still in) + Bos chip = :bounce1 :bounce1

Nice sound, without being too loud, no backfiring, looks good. Gets my vote and I've had a Remus y-piece, Remus y-piece and Genesis can on a std 1150 GS and it's better than both these.

..........K&N Air Filter and "Steptoe Link" are cheap additions to the Remus & "Y" piece option. :D

Presumably you can remove the baffle then on the Bos - do you know how it sounds with the baffle out? I am after something "deep and throaty" for want of a better expression......
