New product from Green Leopard, the On the Spot Monitor so called because it is fitted on the spot either to new custom moulded earplugs or to existing ones.
The transducers are remote and the sound is transmitted via tubes directly into the ear, this solves the problem of broken cables when used by motorcyclists, the tube fits over the ear like a hearing aid and has a coiled part for extenision.

The cable is 1.14 Metres long and the tubes are 250mm long when coiled.

Frequency response is 20Hz - 16Khz, max output 115Db, because the earplug seals the ear the sound quality is nothing short of astonishing, visit www.greenleopard.co.uk to find your nearest provider.

I'm probably just being dumb but I can't the in-ear monitors. Can you make the link more specific?

Cheers

Dick, The link is to the Green Leopard site where you can find your nearest provider, because this is a new product it is not on the site, your provider will explain and demonstate the monitors.

As a musician they would be very usefull for you as they would do the music and bike jobs, Nathan at GL London will demo them to you.

Here's a pic of the prototypes, the coiled cable is now stylish and black and the 3.5mm plug is gold plated.

I picked some up last week and, although I'm obviously not impartial, what JimB says about the quality is no exaggeration. You need to hear these to believe them.

Ok these look very interesting - but what about us Autocom users? Any way of plugging these into the system?

Autocom

Muppet, Yep, Autocom do a patch cable that breaks out a 3.5mm socket for this purpose, Starcom and Intaride are also compatible.

Will they fit this to Emtec custom moulded plugs or do they only do Green Leopard. Also the big question How much.

Would have to have a look at the Emtec to see.

Personally I'd be happier to leave other manufacturer's plugs alone and make an impression I was happy with...

Prices will vary slightly between agents. Find your local provider and ask them!

Less than you might think though...

Thanks Jim. Unfortunately there aren't any conveniently placed for Brighton but I'll make a note of the London offices and try and get to one of them.

Cheers
