Speaking as the customer, Ted and I had plenty of discussions regarding what to do and how much it would cost. The alternator was the start of the problems, but there were plenty more things that needed sorting as he got deeper into the bike, all of which were brought to my attention before he went any further. For the work needed and the parts supplied, the total price Ted charged I found to be very reasonable and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him, or use him again.

All my searches so far have proved negative. If you have solved yours can you share your good fortune?
Don't forget to keep an eye out for R nine T alternators which will fit (check Denso or Bosch).

Also, when I did mine the tank came off, some wiring, the front shock (including the upper crash bars) and the alternator cover and its other half; the latter proving troublesome. So it isn't like doing one on a car, it took quite a long time.
