That's absolutely superb - throughly enjoyed that. Thank you.

Here in West Oxon we don't have many bomber bases (Enstone excepted), but plenty of others. We've got the base where Churchill took off for Casablanca and the raid on the Scharnhorst was launched (RAF Stanton Harcourt), you can drive on the old runway (it's now a minor road) of RAF Broadwell, where Horsa gliders took off for D-Day and Arnhem. Same at RAF Down Ampney (decent hymn tune by RVW too). Lots of bases round here.
 
Yes, that is a very informative movie. My dad ( rest his soul) flew Lancs , and I brought him a video many years ago, witch contained some of the segments shown in that movie.

Read the book Bomber Boys last summer - this really puts it all in perspective. Thanks for posting. Nothing but the highest respect for all the aircrews.
