The eyes gave it a away on the second link, it is a she.

For me the bike is very nothing really, the 'Adventure' class of bikes are rapidly becoming much of muchness Euro bikes like so many cars. It would be nice to see something truly new and interesting released, and that includes BWW

what's the problem?

1150/1200 has proven to be a huge success in biking terms that of course other manufacturers are gonna jump on the band wagon, in some cases to try and get back some custom and most are smart enough to realise it is a fashion phase rather than thousands going off road or RTWing so there is more design that function gone into their efforts and that is no bad thing.....

cannae stand the sniggering at other bikes, some sort of elitism BS.

Buy your bike and ride it is the biggest and best statement a biker can make.

The worst is to stand at the ace laughing at what is percieved not to be cool

+1. I ride my bike cos I like it, and I don't give two hoots what anyone else thinks. And I'm sure riders of other types of bike have their equally valid reasons. Doesn't matter what you ride, it's how you ride it that counts. That must be true cos Ogri's dog says it on a T shirt

Not really true.

Take away any reliability problems - and we can't exactly point the finger at other manufacturers!
Since 2008 all Ducati models are on a 6000 mile schedule and have reduced service times. It was one of the big things Ducati took on board last year to encourage ownership - it was well publicised.
