Does anyone have any recommendations for independent servicing within easy reach of Hull? I have always used Astles up to now, and I am not unhappy with them, but as this bike is well out of warranty I thought I would look at other options.

Try R M Motorcycles in Beverley
Yeah... I'm also not happy with Astle's servicing prices, @ £75 per hourlabour charge is way too much.... over £400 they wanted ....when the full genuine service kit can be had off fleabay for buttons... rip off dealers again
Astles problem is that they are a car franchise with bikes in a shed at the end of the showroom. The bike staff turnover is higher than McDonalds!
Thanks for the comments and suggestions.
I have had several bikes from Astles and their service has generally been very good. I agree with the comments about their costs though. Surprised about comments about staff turnover; maybe turnover has increased recently but until he left (either earlier this year or last) Richard whatsisname who dealt with servicing seemed to have been there forever.
Richard has retired now. all 3 of the front "end bike" staff are new. Theres a service adviser who has never dealt with bikes, a sales man who doesnt know much about bikes and the bike sales manager who has previous experience on bikes - i think.
they have got through 6 sales staff in the last year.
After saying that, i`ll give em a chance, no point in changing dealers unless i get any problems.
I have been popping in and out of Astles for a while now since purchasing a new GS from them earlier in the year. Having met the new staff my observations are that Terry the Service Advisor is very very customer focussed and although never having worked in bikes before has always been a biker and bends over backwards to help customers. haven't had much to do with Richard the new salesman but Steve the new manager seems hellbent on putting Astles at the top of BMW owners preferred dealers choice he is very knowledgable on bikes past and present and has worked in the bike industry before joining Astles He appears to want to work with customers to get the dealership back how they want it. So yes they have had a rocky time in Grimsby but things seem to be well on the up.
Give them a chance guys![]()
