No trip to Moab is complete without a stop at the Hole 'n the Rock...

Some old geezer craved a home into the side the hill. When he died, they made it into a small museum / weirdo place and a convenience store. Odd to say the least...

We arrive back at Gateway and Goose's rear tire is nearly worn to the cords. While looking at it, he rolls the biek backwards and breaks one of the indicators. Only $750 to fix the indicator...

It needed a new lens ($15) a new chrome bar ($100) and a new rear fender as that had a small crease in it ($600+). Goose wasn't pissed off about it though.:eek

We end staying at Gateway a day longer than planned as we had to ride 75 miles to Grand Junction HD to get a tire. That only took about 6 hours...

American HD shops crack me up; no bike stuff to speak really, just racks upon racks of tee shirts, chaps, tasssles and tat to make you look "cool". I just don't get it...

Ooooh, we're so naughty! :mmmm

We have a coiuple of hours to kill before heading back to Gateway, so we're off to Fruita, CO and ride through the Colorado National Monument. I can't recommend this ride enough - great views from above a canyon. There's a perimeter roads that follows the canyon's edge all the way around....

Stopped on the border at Bedrock, COlorado - not a lot going on. They have a post office, but nothing else in town...
