Hi all,
Just quickly wanted to share this here. Always had BMW cars and the code scanners and coding apps to go with them. So when I bought my 2005 1200GS recently I was disappointed to find that only GS911 (expensive) & Motoscan (Android only) came up, that's obviously without the cables/hardware etc.
I took a gamble based on previous experience and tried the following.

- Bluetooth OBD2 Adaptor: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B06XGB4873?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1 (I had this already and use it on cars with Bimmerlink and Bimmercode apps). £22.06
- Adapter cable to fit the above on bikes port. I am not sure if this is needed on later bikes but was certainly needed on 2005 1200GS. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0DDH5DLHB?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title. £13.99
- EOBD App on Appstore. Free version is enough to scan codes, plus version allows you to reset, report etc. Only used it a few times so far, so can't tell you everything it does yet. But will scan error / diag codes. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/eobd-facile-obd-2-car-scanner/id713921569 . £35 if you go for full version (one off).

£71 is not bad for diagnostics. Obviously not as clever as the more expensive options.
Cheers

I doubt EOBD has the functionality to change KOMBI settings, flush ABS, code the alarm/RCD units, etc.

Cheap Android phone in the garage running Motoscan has been my solution for quite a while now.

No it doesn’t but it reads error codes a parameters. Can’t code anything with it. Only posting because people were asking on other threads about reading and resetting error codes specifically to save a trip to a mechanic to find out what’s wrong.
