Trying to cut a long story short, I was fitting my ‘new’ Autocom purchased last year from the Autocom stand at the NEC. The vox wouldn’t set up and transmit to the Kenwood (TK3107) was plagued with howling distortion.
Autocom couldn’t sort it over the phone and sent me to Infinity York to have them look at it. So despite not having sold me it in the first place, Infinity put it on their test rig and discovered a faulty power lead to the Autocom. Autocom replaced, I was on my way
So I guess the moral to this is, there’s more to buying an Intercom than price or make, service can be worth an awful lot more.
