INFINITY....????

In a previous life were'nt these not " bike shitty city " who also went awol. ?

No, they were not!

Infinity were totally unconnected with Motorcycle City - both companies were separately trading on the High Street for several years before M/C City went tits up.

When M/C City went bust, Infinity bought the leases of some (but by no means all) of their stores.

Peterborough were open today...

BUT

I had a problem with a Schuberth helmet bought from them (minor cosmetic issue) and they failed to get back to me despite two promises on the phone and one in person (where they denied every having spoken to me on the phone  )

Two emails to Schuberth head office have got it sorted in a few days rather than the months it has taken Infinity to fob me off.

So in my book:

Infinity: 0 - Schuberth De: 6

a clear victory :thumb

Just had an email from them:

Infinity is open for business again now.

The new owners would like to say a big thank you for all your patience during the last week and we are looking forward to opening with all the usual great deals and service that you expect from Infinity.

Hope to see you soon.

Business as usual then. I wonder who the new owners are.

Might try that, my 6 month old C2 has decided not to close properly on the right side lock and needs a firm hand that almost breaks my neck to get the bastard to lock properly.... Had no reply from email and calls long before they went tits up....

Not quite business as usual. Website states that Cardiff & Guildford branches are closed.

I always thought the Cardiff location was crap. It's on one side of a dual carriageway and requires a considerable detour to get back to it if travelling south on North Road. This means any passing trade on their way to the city centre is unlikely to call in and those leaving probably go across the Taff to visit Hein Gericke & the Triumph dealer.

how funny, the guildford branch is exactly the same. just off the A3 on a particularly dicey busy bit of hill, with an exit thats very easy to miss. if you do it feels like about a 4 mile detour to have another go. i've missed it loads of times.

Hence the phrase "To infinity & beyond!"
Drag starting to get back onto the A3 can be a bit of a laugh.

My C2 bouight at the Excel Show in 07 has a problem with the chinpiece not locking.

With (as I thought) Infinity tits up I contacted Oxford Products who imported it and was told basically to tak eit back to my dealers as they didn't deal direct with the public.

I said as far as I was ware Infinity had gone bust and all they did was email me the Infinity URL that seems show they are open again.

I don't live near a store.... Anyone verify they are open again?

Yes they are - The clothing and accessories is still running as Infinity but the Bike sales has changed names.

In central london.. they have a store near holborn and one on great portland street

Try removing the removable collar piece and see if that makes a difference, its held with the two press studs and then you have to gently lever out the wire locating pin and then the collar should come off. If this helps with the closing then that could be the problem, the leather sags after a few months and you need to 'massage' it back into place, away from the closing faces (plastic and beside the pressstud) its happened on both my C2's. What you are trying to do is pull more padding towards the back of the neck. and away from the press stud area.

Good Luck
