Anyone had one of these before? I bought it for my sons to play on but no manual etc with it. Any info would be grand:D
Its 50cc and the name on the engine is 'Lifan'. 4 gears, neutral on top, the rest all down.

It's a Chinese Honda 70 copy..
oil is 15/40
petrol normal unleaded..
Check chain tension everyday as they eat rear wheel spindles if too tight.
LiFan
They are not as bad as most chinky [ Engines made of liquorice metal ] bikes but not long lasting either, so NO off to Russia on that :)
If it has a manual clutch try and get little '..un out of habit of slipping it, as the clutch plates are made of dried horse dung.
They are also liable to be seized by plod as they are not able to be made road legal any more ...
Just tell kids to ride it like they stole it !!!
When it dies, don't spend a lot to fix it, just get another from Ebay or a Police sale of confiscated goods ..
Chen Ching aka JenChin are the best of a bad bunch of Chinky Honda copies ...

Thank you proff and HAPPY CHRISTMAS to you both.
Just took it up the field for kids to have first run and both kids and bike did well. It runs very sweetly and keeps its energy when a fat lump like me insisted on a go:D. A friend said its very similar to the brilliant C90 and he has lots of spares.
Ill give it an oil change now and check the chain.....Thanks again. X

It won't be pulling many wheelies with that geometry, will it :D

Unless fattyboy Forry gets on the back :augie

My lad had one of these for a very short while. Don`t let the kids go over any big lumps/humps on it as the ground clearance is rubbish, not helped by the aforementioned long chassis. The exhaust downpipe will ground out.
Another thing I didn`t like was the ease at which the pegs decked out at moderate lean angles. I was worried my lad may get his foot caught under the peg. Proper MX style boots definately required.

3/4 of a liter
Check level by using dipstick WITHOUT screwing it in :thumb2
Also when draining oil make sure you undo DRAIN plug and not the Timing chain tensioner  they are similar and close together :augie
Most of them have a projecting piece of casting in front of drain plug..
OR take a pic and I'll tell you which one !!:rob

PROFF, thank you kind sir:kissy2

MarkShelley, a friend of mine is sorting the pegs out as the left one is not at a great angle:eek:. The intention is for my boys to get the hang of it regarding control around my field, then progress to a better bike if the interest is there. Thanks for pointing that out:thumb2

Fanum, wheelie performed by me. Its the only bike ive managed to do one on:pullface

when the engine dies , stick the 110cc one in,
they also do a 145cc un,,, quite fast,
iv got a road going one in the garage somewhere,,
they are a copy, but most of the parts are not interchangeable from a honda

Pit BIke spares do a 125cc motor as well Lifan i think.
They also stoke most spares for these Fo-rin bikes..:augie
